If you have a garden, after the soil has been prepared you plant seeds in it which either you or the seeds man have obtained from plants grown the previous year.Weeds may die as winter comes, but before this happens they have produced large numbers of seeds which fall to the ground and remain there until the following spring.Considering these and other observations which you have made, what is your answer to the question, why do plants produce seeds?Why do you suppose plants produce so many seeds?
